Honor Weihe

LMHCA, NCC, MAED

My name is Honor (she/her) and I was born and raised in Seattle. I grew up in a family of teachers, artists and therapists, shaping me into the empathic and relational being I am today. I am fascinated by the bond between parent and child and believe in the incredible power of this relationship. As a child and parent myself, I believe deeply in the transformational impacts that come with being a part of this work.

My early career was dedicated to classroom teaching in k-12 schools in Washington, New York, Mexico and Spain. My work was driven by my desire to help others and provide a classroom environment that felt inclusive and nurturing. In 2018, I completed the Masters in Education in Counseling (MAED) from Seattle University with a specialization in school-based counseling. In 2021, I became a National Certified Counselor (NCC) to address the teen mental health crisis and provide a safe space for youth to express themselves. This work lead me to support teens and their parents around improving communication and building trust.

In 2023, I began to work for myself and completed requirements to be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA). During this pre-licensure period, I work closely with a licensed supervisor, Dr. Katherine Fort, as well as a consultation group of therapists in my state. I also work closely with licensed doula, Josie Wright at Seattle Central Birth, with the intention to provide preventative maternal mental health support to the families she guides through birth.

I am interested in learning more about the experience of women and birthing people and feel invested in this work. I am currently completing hours towards the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International. The rising rates of mental health challenges for new moms is heartbreaking. By providing mental health counseling and teaching childbirth education, I want to be a catalyst for transformation for parents and their families for generations to come.
